Of course they'll appeal it, probably with ADF representing them. They'll try to take it to SCOTUS hoping for a ruling that states the safety of the students in light of the terrorist threat outweighs the First Amendment rights of the Satanists, and I'm not confident they won't get it.

Once again, "Think of the Children" is used as an excuse to trample on other people's rights.

Christian privilege runs deep in this country, and any time they are faced with equality they claim they're being persecuted. Given a free hand, they would make attendance at the Christian club mandatory.

Appeal? Why on Earth would they do that when their own scripture tells them to concentrate on things above and not earthly things? Right? Right?

Satan is a member of the Abrahamic faiths, so what's the problem? It's a character that they created!

May I say, 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥-𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥!!! It's far past time someone stepped up and said that the Free Speech Clause of the First Amendment does NOT just apply to Christians! This needs to happen FAR MORE OFTEN!

The Christians largely lump us atheists in with Satanists, I suppose. Many of them have no ability to truly consider others as legitimate of right for their beliefs.

Reading through this, it seems to me that Vlasaty knew she couldn't reject the club outright, and was hoping for an excuse. When she thought she'd found one, she acted on it immediately rather than thinking it all through all the way. In effect, the gamble here was that whoever was willing to call in a mass shooting threat wasn't also a liar willing to shoot up the school anyway; considering how unreasonable the threat of violence to schoolkids was, assuming the caller was off their rocker seems the sensible thing to think.

It seems to me that these days, Christians who call themselves 'morally superior' have entirely too hard a time playing fair with everyone else.

A bad day in Arkansas. Or maybe just a normal day in Arkansas.

"The Court does not doubt the honorable intentions of the District and its administrators, who were tasked with the unenviable responsibility of responding to hostile community outrage to the District’s approval of TST’s request"

Translation: we understand how craven you elected officials are when you think following the law might anger voters...

Someone needs to show this article to Louis Wood, Jr. That's the way you do it.

Christian Nationalist school administrators need to be taught this lesson repeatedly. Open to one means open to all.

Give Christianity an inch, and it'll take a mile.

And commit a few genocides and rape some kids along the way, just for fun. It needs to fucking die.
