When I went to school in the 1970ies, a prayer before school lunch was common. After a few years I refused praying, and in return was refused eating lunch AND reported to the head of the school. My mother had a meeting with the headmaster. No-one had to say a prayer before lunch after that.
Oh, does THAT speak volumes! Tells me more than anything else that the authors of this bill KNOW that what they're proposing isn't just controversial but ILLEGAL and UNCONSTITUTIONAL ... and they'll have to do some fancy dancing to avoid liability.

Will it be decided by the State ? The county? The schools ? The one who lead the prayers ? If it's the two formers, what about a school where the majority of students are catholics but is in a protestant county ? What if the majority of students are not christians* ?
* In my high school I think at least half of the students were from Muslims families. The only clubs allowed in public schools are sports clubs lead by PE teachers.
Genesis 38 is a good start. The slavery stuff from Exodus and Leviticus. Ezekiel 23:20. The bit where the Israelites have to eat their children. Song of Solomon.

When I lived in Texas it was often observed that the TX legislature met for 140 days every 2 years and almost everyone wished it was the other way around.
Christers are like a horde of fire ants swarming over the face of the nation. We can brush them aside, sure, but there will always be more of them--probably way more (insects keep multiplying)--waiting to keep trying to force their damn superstitions on the rest of us. And since they now own the Supreme Court, and since nobody's doing a damn thing about that, it's only a matter of time before one state's bill, somewhere, on some bogus pretext, wins. And the floodgates will be opened. Scads of other states will rush to enact an identical bill and/or the court will rule that under the Constitution rights guaranteed to citizens of one state can't be denied to others. It's all 100% pure bullshit, but it's what we're facing.

It's a shame that the towns where schools are located don't have dedicated buildings where kids can pray and read the bible all they want.
